Residents of Downingtown attend three school districts depending on the home’s location – Downingtown Area School District, Coatesville School District and West Chester Area School District.
Downingtown Area School District has two high schools – Downingtown HS East Campus and Downingtown HS West Campus, two middle schools – Downingtown MS and Lionville MS, and ten elementary schools – Beaver Creek, Bradford Heights, Brandywine Wallace, East Ward, Lionville, Pickering Valley, Shamona Creek, Springton Manor, Uwchlan Hills and West Bradford Elementary Schools. A sixth grade center is under construction (as of 7-2013) and the Downingtown Area School District includes a STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) academy as well as a Cyber Academy and Center for Arts and Technology – Brandywine.
